| I remember David Berkowitz (The Son of Sam) had his own website in the 90s. It's down now though.
As for how I feel about such people having their own internet sites, I'm somewhat torn. One part of me thinks that when a criminal is locked in prison, they should be cut off from all forms of freedom, including the freedom to maintain a presence online.
And yet, at the same time it satisfies my somewhat morbid sense of humour.. -AN | |

| Well... Do you have your constutional rights while in jail? I believe a person has a freedom of speech, as well has bearing the responsiblity of excerising those rights. So yeah, the guy had a myspace page, but imagine the hate mail he gotten. |

| This is true. I believe that even the lowest and the worst of our people should be allowed most of the same freedoms that we do, even while behind bars. Having said this however, I still feel iffy about it. | |

| Zetaman I hear where your coming from but.... This guy had or has a ongoing history of taunting the police and the parents of his victems. he has a history of taunting the public with stunts designed to draw attention to him and sometime move him around the country. There is also a international law that prohibits the publishing or posting in public of prisoners. ANY prisoners. it is also against the law inCanada to post pictures of inmates in jail. He had pictures up of him in jail in a way it's a mute point now as the site is down. intersting thoughts on the subject. Thanks for everyones input. | |

| True. There is a law against it. But the commonly used loophole is to have somebody else do the posting, selling, and everything else for you. That was how Danny Rolling and Gerard Schafer (look 'em up...just know that they were bad, bad men) were able to get books published and sold.
And no problem, Thanatos. You should know by now- I do enjoy a good thought-provoking forum discussion. You should see me on IMs, when I'm comparing vintages of belly button cheese...

| I'm just saying that the guy has his site up. Fair enough. Now let's start throwing the verbal tomatos. |
