Hi all,

I went and made a yahoo group site for us to upload stuff to.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/The_George_Reeves_Project/
Right now I left everything open to make it easy to sign up. After we have everyone signed up we can go back in and lock it down as much as is needed to prevent BS from happening. I will also be making everyone co-owners of it as soon as you are signed up. After all we are all equals when it comes to this project.

Once I had the basics set up I took the liberty of decorating it (as a plain Jane yahoo group site looks kind of sad and George deserves the best) and put a return link to this board on it for our use. Once I had it set up and decorated I uploaded some Pictures, Files and links to get us started.

To sign up on it you need a yahoo ID which is free. But that ID doesn’t have to be tied to a yahoo e-mail address. If anyone has trouble signing up let me know and I’ll take care of it. Once you are signed you will be able to upload pictures, Files and links in the site sections provided for that. Again if you have any trouble with it I can help out.

I uploaded some pictures of George’s house in Benedict Canyon from the Speeding Bullet book and it does have windows in the bedroom and several other places. I also included some pictures of the kind of equipment that was used in those days for making a TV show. As Superhero has a copy of the same book he can vouch for the fact that the pictures haven’t been altered in any way.

Those pictures pretty much prove that A he had windows and B that the weight, size, amount and power needs of the equipment used in those days precludes filming there which in turn makes a secret closet built there for the series highly unlikely. I don’t like to rain on anyone’s parade but the facts don’t lie. If there is any proof to the contrary I’d love to see it.

Anyone who has read Speeding Bullet can see that the theories and such put out by various Superman book authors don’t agree with each other and cause every bit as much controversy in such circles as we have seen in this post. You’ll also see that the authors of Hollywood Kryptonite are universally reviled by the rest of the authors and cast of AOS like Jack Larson.

When folks feel strongly about something it can get heated in a hurry. We need to strive for facts and do our best to keep our personalities out of it.

I picked a yahoo group site because I know them well and they have all the built in features we need and don’t require passwords. If we end up needing more space I can add some in and show everyone how to access it

Hey BW,

You should know by now that all you had to do was ask and I would hook you up on the yahoo group site. Almost hurts my feelings, as I’m such tender pork and bean.
Like as not it was at least partly yahoo’s fault as it was being a tad difficult when I went in to set you up. But you are set up under the yahoo name of "bafflingwierdo" with the same password as I used to get you on this board. I will include the password in a PM on this board just in case you have changed the 1 I put down in favor of another.
I did notice that the profile I made for you and the yahoo ID I just created for you don’t have your actual e-mail address but the ones I used when creating them. It gives us 2 choices. 1 you can go in and change them. Or 2 you can send me your e-mail address or post it inhere and I can go in and change them for you.
That way you’ll get e-mail notices when something happens rather than manually checking it all. If you want sometime we can get together and I can teach you some of what I know.

Just remember pard I turn 60 at the end of the month so I’m always old school. Kinda gives me dibs on playing the age card. I saw on the heroes net board that you seemed to be using your auntie’s e mail address. If needed I can try using something called an e mail alias program and point it all at that address or any other you specify. In the meantime have you heard anything from Superhero? Haven’t seen him on line for the last few days. Remember my offer to school you on this Internet stuff for free is still open. Someone helped me so it’s only right I pass it on. You could have my skill level in 2 months or less if you want it with my help.

I talked breifly to SH on "myspace" wished him a happy birthday. he replied back but other then that NO. but I'm sure he's just tied up & will be back soon! Place to upload things Icon_biggrin

I need the yahoo site to be private,I don't want my aunt reading our mission stuff,if there's a way around it? that would be cool! wensday or thursday I'll have more time to work on this ok? unless you know how to fix it? have you heard from thanatos or razorhawk? Place to upload things Confused

As far as being informed when things occur on the board or on the yahoo group site I can point the alerts at any e-mail address you care to give me. I could explain how but why "BAFFLE" you L.O.L. with details you may not want to know. You know by now that if I say I can do it I can. All I’ll need from you is what e-mail address you want me to use if you already have a personal one set up. You can give it to me in a PM or e-mail if you don’t want it generally known.

If you don’t happen to have 1 I can set you up with 1 under the earth agents zzn.com e-mail service that’s a part of the earth agents site. The zzn.com e-mail service has two advantages for RLSH folks that the other services don’t seem to have. It doesn’t leave anything on your computer as long as you remember the log in address, and e-mails sent out from it leave a different origin IP number than the computer you send them from so they can’t be traced back to you. I’d send you the password via a PM if it changes from what we are already using for the Yahoo group site and this board.

If you want I can even show you 2 different ways to remove all the RLSH links and any other link you may not wish to share from your Auntie’s computer and still have them accessible by you from any machine that connects to the Internet. The easiest would be copying the links to a floppy disk if your Aunts computer has a floppy drive. The other would be making you your own little personal hideyhole on line that only you and I could access. I’d leave the link and password etc. to it in a PM on this board so you would have a reference spot in case you forget the hideyhole’s location.

Now this offer of help is open to anyone viewing this post, as it would be unfair to help one and not help another. As long as I use the name Superman on line I will hold myself to the standards the character has established.

Tell you what pard,

To facilitate things it would help if we could talk on the phone. May as well be on my dime as I have unlimited long distance and it also wouldn’t show on Auntie’s bill. I suggest sending me the number in a PM or to superman19492002@operamail.com as it wouldn’t do to put it up on an open board. That way I can walk you through what you need to do on your end. Needless to say I’d never call without setting it up in advance. I have had my fair share of crank or BS calls from the less responsible members of the RLSH community and I have no desire to become 1 of them.
