Hi Gang,
As a part of trying to make things better and more useful in here I have created a more or less permanently on line chat room for the Earth Agents Site in Pal Talk. To those who aren’t familiar with Pal Talk it's like Yahoo was before they started screwing around with it and eliminated private chat rooms. If you have questions about pal talk let me know and I’ll try to answer them as part of this post. You will have to install Pal Talk on your computer to use the room but there is a free version so no big deal on that count. I am keeping the room open by having my Robot Robert’s Id in the room 24 7 365. I just created the ID and opened up a room after installing Pal Talk on my server computer which is on 24 7 365 anyway. You will need the following information to initially locate the room but once you have you can add it to your favorites in pal talk and zip right in afterward. The Rooms Name is "Earth Agents" and it is located in computers and technology / communications and networking. Once you find the room you will need to use the Password of "shazam" to get in, I added that part in to keep out the Rif Raf that may be cruising around in Pal Talk. Should someone we don’t want in find out what the password is we have mod commands that can ban them and we can change the password at any time. We can also boot anyone that becomes disruptive. Regular users of the room will be awarded mod status as soon as I work out how to do it. So let me know what you think of the room. Feel free to say Hi to the bot but if he answers it may mean I have made a new breakthrough in robotics.

After making the initial post in here I went back in and figured out how to make anyone I want a admin or mod in the chat room whenever they care to come in as one. Those interested in becoming a admin or mod in the room let me know in a PM. Not going to put that information in an open post. L.O.L. We can also open up this room to hero types that aren’t yet a part of this board if we want to by supplying them with it's password and location in Pal Talk. You all be sure and let me know what you think about that idea too.

You are going to just love this one. Or at least I do as it has humor in it. I left the Earth Agents room open in Pal talk with the Robert The Robot name keeping it open and toddled off to bed for a well deserved rest. While I was sawing logs in bliss-full slumber three spuds tried to break into the room by guessing at the password. Here’s where the fun begins. It seems that pal talk has a notifier feature that PMs you if you are on line whenever anyone tries unsuccessfully to gain entrance to your room. So when I checked the server computer this morning and looked at the Bot ID in pal talk here is what was waiting for me.

Seems that the pal talk bot dutifully reported all this to my bot. Don’t you just love the irony of it? Bots looking out for other bots while I am in bliss-full repose. So I cross-referenced the names in the pal talk profile section and sent out a PM to the one real profile that came up in the mix. Someone seems to be taking an interest in a super hero room that’s less than one day old. Could they be SUPER VILLIANS?!!!! Or more likely the usual run of the mill internet scum that lurk about and try to mess with who or whatever they encounter. You all decide.

I am fairly sure that I am the only one playing in this section. Though just in case I’m not I’ll keep you up to date. The room is still up and running and chumps are still trying to crack my password. Obviously they aren’t part of this board or they would have read in here where I say what the password is. L.O.L. So Here is the latest set of folks that tried to get in. The only exceptions are some who tried to get in by faking my Bot’s ID. Don’t you just love it?! I know I do so here goes

Judging by some of the passwords attempted and the use of the Bot name they must have heard me mention the room somewhere. Could it be that someone might actually whish lovable old me Ill tidings? Like I care what some chumps might try to do to me. Just goes to prove a well worn adage I heard when I was just a Rug Rat.

Personally, I think teleconferences such as Goto meeting, might save our resources for more valuable things such as community work. Although superman is using paltalk so I'm willing to give it a try. Personally, a netbook with an at&T broadband might do the trick as far as communications go. They are cheap, mobile, and can be replaced.

On second thought, I'm going to wait till I have the internet in my own apartment setup. Too many "little ears" on my end. Using the libraries computers isn't too "secure" if you know what I mean.
