Recently, I became aware of a movement on reddit to build an alternative internet called the Meshnet. Basically it is a bunch of meshnetworks that will be linked together. You can check it out on reddit under darknetplan or meshnet just type it in the search box.
I've been concerned for awhile about what if the government shuts down the internet. This is the answer to that. I think it might be good for us to be involved in that.
