I appreciate that my friend and I hope for the sake of the HN that the move works out as they hope. While I am not familiar with the individuals providing the new set up, they seem to be way more on the ball than that poser / snake oil salesman that tried to con me and the hero school. Being part of the school I’m sure you remember that joker and how quickly we found him out. Like I said on my posts on the old HN board, as I am providing free space with no arbitrarily BS rules I won’t be lacking for takers on my offer. Down the road I intend to upgrade my server to over 4 terabytes of space which will pretty much "MAX OUT" that computer server. If it proves insufficient I can always add in a second server. Plus I am working on organizing a home server ring. Odd as it sometimes sounds (even to me) there is an increasingly large group of concerned folks waiting for me to show them how to set up servers of their very own and make web sites on them. Having been raised right I freely share my toys and knowledge. In my favor I seem to be able to explain how I do what I do in terms most folks can understand. I have never understood the attitude of some folks on line that try to make a person beg, or otherwise kiss ass before helping them out. Not all of the computers that will end up, as part of the server network will be top of the line or have super big hard drives. Old tech yes. But old tech that still works just fine. If we get enough of them we will have cornered the market on a serious amount of Internet real estate, for halfpennies on the dollar. Those servers will have sites on them we know will be safe for little kids and good folks because we (my group of concerned folks and I) will have made them. Providing fun, safe places is another way of combating evil.
