This is an idea that started forming in the back of my head after posting on Zetaman’s Global Heroics board. For completeness here’s the link to that post. Captain Spiffy rides again or the possibility of a shared identity.

There are a lot of folks who care every bit as much as any member of this board. But for whatever reasons they don’t have the time to be doing it full time.

Many folks while having the desire and commitment may not have the creativity to come up with a viable plan but can implement 1 when they see it.

A combination of resources and talents as in" many hands make for light work. "

Working together to do something as a group that none have the resources to do singly.

The fact that creating a Super Human persona can take a bunch of folks to pull off effectively.

Obviously it would require effective communication. But isn’t that at least part of the purpose of the Internet and the boards?

I see it in 2 basic parts. Active Agent(s) and Hero Support but there may well be others that don’t occur to me.

So it’s kind of Blue-Sky Idea time. let’s take this and run with it.

In my humble opinion of Real Life Superhero,

Every Superhero is unique, as much as every PERSON is unique. I'm <X> and ENTOMO at the same time, and logic imposes that nobody could assume my legal identity of <X> in the future to come. Because, I AM <X> and I'm actually an unique person like everyone is.

On the other hand, yes, I need a mask to be "recognized" as Entomo, but Entomo is much more than a mask: he's in my genetic code. And nobody can replicate in himself my genetic code, left alone my experiences of life.

So basically, my point is: NO. Each one must get his brand-new, unique Superhero persona. My legacy is something I'll carry with me forever.

If the said hero persona were truly that unique I’d have to agree with you. There are 1 of a kind heroes out there. But I also hold that a group working together in close concert could create a shared persona. After all as an example look how many have played Superheroes like Batman and Superman. While each brings something of himself to the role the basic character is the same. I have seen way too many folks start out to be RLSH’s but not have the time or resources to complete. A shared persona conceived and worked on from the ground up by such a group is a viable possibility in my opinion.

Sounds like a possible group type project to me if I understand the concept. Where the group works together with a single persona created to be a sort of front man. If it is done correctly it could become a true gestalt where the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts.
