Shot himself accidentally?

I've been going back thru Jan Alan Hendersons book
"Speeding Bullet"
Three things have occured to me, it doesn't rule out the secret closet, but even if Toni stepped out of it & shot George, he wouldn't have had the bruises all over is body.
Dr.Paul Hanson who was the Gen. Surgeon in charge of the ER at St.Lukes in pasedena stated that there was no way that Reeves got those bruises on his body from training, they were blunt force trauma.

And from my own experiences Wrestling I can tell you, did I get banged up alot? yes.

Were there a lot of bruises? No. So I agree with this conclusion.

I don't think Toni Mannix would have been able to give George a ass-Whoopin' before shooting him, nor would she want to make that much noise trying.

Number two: The sliding noise that the guests heard appears to be the drawer opening so George could get his gun.

Now, Arthur Wiessman, Georges' former manager told the Enquirer
in 1988 that Reeves had a Large gun collection, and like to play a practical joke where he would pretend to shoot himself.
Probably so he could say "Wow, Bullets really do Bounce off me" or something. Wiessman maintained that Toni used her key to get into the house and load Georges' gun with live rounds.

Normally I'd say this was outlandish crap. Then I saw this video:

Notice that she states that George told her "He pulled the trigger but someone else put the live shots in the gun" which is when the camera started nodding "Yes" without the cameraman controlling it.

George was close with his manager, that's one of the few things Hollywoodland did get right. He would know.



I'm beginig to believe he unintetionally shot himself and the bruises came from a entirely different incident. Maybe trying to contain the often Drunk & unruly Lenore Lemmon???

What do you guys think?

Like I said, it doesn't rule out the closet, but it does change the theory.

those are all good facts SH,I've read about them also. I've also read how the prank pistol theory was proven to be fake. however maybe when Toni said she did it,she ment she had someone do it for her threw Eddie's contacts?

Also, it would explain the reason why lenore said he was going upstairs to "Shoot himself"

Where did you read it was disproven? I know Jan Alan henderson says that theory is "outlandish" but at the time he was pushing his theory that lenore did it which turned out to be wrong too.

Interesting theory. And it would be a perfect way to do it. People knew he liked to play around like that, all it took was for someone to put a live round in the gun. What throws me is the bruises/BFT. I'm with SH on this one. I got smacked around good in the ring and rarely had bruising. The other thing that interests me is where did all of the cool things like the suits go?

it talks about Weissman's theory but the Nick Harris Agency had ruled out his "suicide game" as the cause of his death. the site also gives some good listing of accounts on the hauntings.

well anything could have happened,but I gotta believe Nick Harris agencies's report as being acurate. Due to the point that they are corner stones & part of the original foundations of the FBI. Or jerry geisler being wrong also, who was a famous lawyer.

NO FINGERPRINTS were found on the gun,which rules out any type of suicide theory regardless if it was from his own doing or changing a blank.
considering it's hard to imagine that after he shot himself,he was able to whipe the gun clean afterwards. everything in my opinion still says it was'nt a suicide.
