The drop zone challenge-be s superhero for a day for 2009 is underway!
For those of you who don't know what this is let me explain.
The Cause
Easter Seals Canada, a registered charity, is dedicated to serving children, youth and adults with disabilities, striving to ensure that no one is left behind. More than 100,000 Canadians and their families annually access programs and services provided by Easter Seals organizations across Canada.
The most well known services are the Easter Seals camp programs. In 2008, 22 camps across Canada provided camp opportunities to more than 6,000 kids with disabilities. Since 1949, an estimated 160,000 children with disabilities have attended Easter Seals camps.
Other Easter Seal services include the provision of specialized mobility and access equipment to Canadians and their families including mobility aids, assistive technology, adaptive computers, augmentative communication devices and adaptations to homes and vehicles for wheelchair accessibility.
Easter Seals Canada has been serving the needs of Canadians with disabilities and their families since 1922 when 10 Rotary Clubs formed the first network of Easter Seals organizations in Canada.
Easter Seals creates inclusive and active opportunities for children, youth and adults living with disabilities. Thanks to your help, Easter Seals programs improve the lives of Canadians every day.

The event
The Drop Zone offers you the opportunity to rappel down an office building in your community - and it's legal!
Superhero membership is open to anyone regardless of their ability. All you have to do is raise the minimum pledge of $1,500... and master your nerves. Have no fear. Your friendly neighborhood climbing experts will help you with that. They will train you, encourage you and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
Since 2005, more than 1400 Superheroes joined the exclusive Superhero Club for Easter Seals, raising more than $1.9 million dollars for kids with disabilities across Canada!
Help us be part of a formidable group of superheroes to raise $1 million in 2008.
this is a chance to rappel down a twenty story building here in vancouver.

this year I am starting early to raise the money for a very worthy cause and provide the commuity with a bit of very positive PR.
I am once again asking everyone to donate and help out Easter Seals in the important things they do.
