SpotCrime.com is an online crime-mapping project. Their reports seem to be compiled from news sources rather than from police departments themselves. This affects response time and completeness, but should not affect credibility. In all, it's a well-constructed site, and it seems pretty close to the goal of the oracle project. It still falls short of government crime-mapping, but it is much more accessible. If nothing else, it's worth checking out.

Excellent find and it can be used if they feature statistics for your area to help fill out the oracle project. Welcome to the group. As you are new why don’t you tell usall a bit about yourself in the introduction section.

That's funny I was thinking to bad we couldn't do an online version of the oracle project. Where the information could be stored online, and people could use a webpage to enter in the information.
