Just a thought here on heat and armor.

I have worn some different forms of body armor before. A lot different than what we use today. And while today's is lighter and stronger they both have the same problem. Heat.

They act as insulation and trap excess body heat. This can lead to overheating and heat prostration if not carefully monitored and factured in.

Hydrating is the key and drinking lot's of fluids helps while on patrol. But should you need to 'spring into action', how long ...

Was just wondering how many of us use a spotter?

A spotter is someone you have who works with you while you patrol/mission/whatever by watching for you as a extra set of eyes in a remote, but viewable location.

This can be someone walking ahead or behind you while in radio or cell phone contact. They may also be a a central position that allow them to have a overall veiw of the area. They can warn you of things you may come up on or possible attack from behind.

They can also call ...

Hi Gang,

I’d like to recommend a site for a seriously neat gadget the Personal GPS locator. The site to check out is http://www.zoombak.com/. I think the device would come in real handy as far as crime fighting goes. The nearest thing I have seen to Spiderman’s Spidey tracers. This in fact is better as it includes maps to where the device is at and you don’t have to have been bitten by a radioactive spider to use it. Besides the uses mentioned on the site I could see 1 of the devices ...

I was using costume gloves over my sap gloves for the appearance. The costume gloves, however, were way too velcro friendly and gave me concerns about my grip. They were also starting to come apart at some of the seams.

I decided to take them apart and glue the 'bone' sections to the back of the gloves themselves.

The following pics show the work involved in preparing and glueing the material to the gloves. ...

I find everything one can do to positivly motivate yourself into the character helps. This includes using music while suiting up, strange rituals (?), storing your stuff special.

What do you do to help yourself get into the 'mindset'?

I saw a lot of pretty blades and Batons in the pictures throughout this section, and Iam just wondering, where do you guys draw the line at weaponry? I mean, blades are already lethal force. I personally dislike the use of any lethal weaponry in anything resembling patrol, but hey, I am the new guy. SO enlighten me please.

Okay, I bought a CB radio. There is no cigerette lighter connection rather just two wires at the end. The Instuctions says to put on in the fuse box and ground the other one. How do I do that? I have a 2002 Ford Windstar and the fuses are not the cylinders but the fork kind. Would it be be better just to buy the extra cigerette lighter connection?

Utility Belt Design

Here is my design for every super hero’s wardrobe. A utility belt. Feel free to expand upon the design with any suggestions you might have. Like it says in the diagram pouches may be any size and shape needed and rearranged or changed out at will. Some say we will never have nice little Batman type toys. I say we will if we want them badly enough and here is where we can put them.

Superman,

You gotta tell me more about that 2-sided axe with the rocket launcher in it.

The 2-sides of the axe, will the axe-blades be on the same side? Or will they be like yin-yang? I'd think it would not be as good to have them be like yin/yang, because then a strike at someone would also be striking myself.

And as far as the rocket launcher part, would that be more like an Arma-100? or what??

For some reason, I've been thinking about that, and all your other brilliant ...

Hey Superman, (or anyone else who knows about this)

Do you remember that weapon used in Daredevil? The one he used that had multi-purposes to it. It was a billy club/baton that could also be used as a grappling hook. Do you think that - or something like that - or better - is possible to make??

If possible, I would have mine be just like his - except where his is primarily red and secondary color is like light silver, mine would primarily be green & secondary color be black - WITH ...
