Their reports seem to be compiled from news sources rather than from police departments themselves. This affects response time and completeness, but should not affect credibility. In all, it's a well-constructed site, and it seems pretty close to the goal of the oracle project. It still falls short of government crime-mapping, but it is much more accessible. If nothing else, it's worth checking out.
